My little family of Cocker Spaniels have a home that is very clean and comfortable for them.  They have an air conditioner for the summer and heat for the winter. My whelping area has pet doors. The girls can go out as often as they want and visit with a few friends outside.  When they have babies, they do not visit for very long at a time.  The girls just go say "hi" for a minute and back inside they come to snuggle with their babies.  All my females are such wonderful mothers and take excellent care of their babies.

• Our puppy kennel is 25'x 25'.  The covered area for my adults is 30'x40'.  We have another 30'x40' play and exercise area for them. They enjoy this very much. They are so spoiled rotten, after about 10 minutes of running and playing, they are  standing and watching me clean and wanting to be back inside with me.  But that is fine with me.  I love every minute of all that attention they give to me. :-)
  

• Their house gets cleaned and scrubbed each and everyday.  Sure do wish I could say the same thing about mine.
  

• It is very important that everyone visit the kennel and breeder where they get their new companion and family member.  People need to see where and how the adults and babies are taken care of.  I never meet anyone in another location with their new pup.  They have to come to my home and my kennel.  Not only is this good for them, but also very good for me.  We get to know each other and the pup gets to know them before they go to their new home and family.  Our babies are very, very socialized before they leave.  Everyone that visits plays with them and loves them and holds them.   Not to mention how much time I spend with them. :-) I am with the Mom's when they are whelping.  I help clean their babies with them and make sure they are getting a very healthy start in their new world.  I am very particular with my puppies. If a breeder can't share a cup of coffee with their visitors in their puppy kennel, they need to go to Wal-Mart and buy themselves some bleach. I take a lot of pride in my Cocker Spaniels and I do everything possible to let them know how much they are loved.  I get my joy when I look into their eyes and see all my love is being returned.  I know that is why when DOG is spelled backward, it spells GOD. A Cocker Spaniel loves you unconditionally.
